Studio Game Design Director

Role Overview:
We are currently recruiting for an exceptionally skilled Game Design Director to join one of our well known clients team, working closely with the Head of Studio to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of the Creative capabilities.

Leadership Skills:

Responsible for Design Leadership for the studio, making sure the studio adopts the best fit style and drive the right choices relating to all things Design
Able to bring experience to the table to help drive initial decisions on design and prototype and to offer insight and solutions to add winning ingredient to games
Responsible for overseeing all Design hiring, training, development & design resource allocation
Responsible for leading and coaching the Studio Game and Level Designers to ensure their outputs consistently match the high quality game experience aims for the game.
Responsible for working with Learning department and peers from other studios to address training and development requirements within your Game Design team.
Coordinate with the Global Game Design Director to ensure cross studio collaboration both for Design and Resource requirements
Consider the long term and represent the studio’s Design needs within all King Design forums and groups

Technical Skills

Track record taking games all the way from concept development through to delivery.
Released several games
Experience designing social and free-to-play games and game reward systems
Skilled at creating and communicate game concepts and specifications to a team
You are familiar with psychological models concerning motivation and didactic and therefore able to create extraordinary experiences for the player
Know and use scripting languages
Capable of balancing complex game-systems
Understand the importance of well documented designs and technical features
A detailed knowledge of the games market and current consumer expectations
