Role Overview:

AAA console studio needs a mission producer.
The Missions Producer is the catalyst that drives the engine of the mission scripting and level design teams, ensuring that both teams have well laid out roadmaps for content delivery, that there is daily tracking of progress toward deliverables and constant communication of status to the teams, to senior production and to the game director. A ferocious problem solver with impeccable administrative skills, the Missions Producer anticipates dependencies, ruthlessly solves pipeline issues, and advocates for the team’s needs.

Supports Executive/Senior Producers with production priorities, delivery targets, and task deadlines necessary to meet milestone deliverables on time and within budget.
Owns accountability for the sprint planning and requirements gathering, as well as the day to day needs of the mission scripting and level design teams.
Tracks internal and external dependencies needed for each and every mission, and communicates those dependencies to other departments and/or external vendors.
Creates strong working relationships with multi-disciplinary team members, fostering strong two way communication between all team members and production.

Worked on mission scripting and/or level design teams as a producer or designer on at least 2 shipped console games
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience with creating roadmaps for “long tail” deliverables that follow initial implementation, tails that require the tracking of a large number of required assets and coordination of other studio teams creating those assets.
High level of design workflow proficiency, able to understand design estimates and ask questions to drive design efficiency.
Able to effectively communicate with artistic and technical personnel
Self-motivated and able to take the initiative as the need arises.
Ability to switch between day to day firefighting and long term planning constantly
An understanding of the complete mission creation pipeline, to include scripting, level design, cinematic integration, story/dialogue integration, and the tracking of assets.
Knowledge of Hansoft or other production tracking software.

Keen understanding of editors, scripting tools, and level/mission design processes and pipelines.
Avid gamer that both plays other games and breaks down the missions found within them.
An attitude that says, “we’ll make it happen”
