Art Outsource Manager – London – 3 to 6 month contract – Competitive Salary

Role Overview:
This studio is a world leader in social/casual games with studios around the world. They are now urgently looking for an experienced art outsourcing manager to join one of their growing London studio teams. Your role will be to identify vendors and manage the complete art outsourcing process on an exciting new title.

As an exceptionally well organised project manager, you will be managing the full art outsourcing process, from identifying and vetting vendors to communicating with stakeholders across the product team and ensuring the development of strong outsourcing procedures and pipelines with chosen vendors.

• Proven experience in a similar outsourcing focused role as a producer or project manager in the games industry
• Identify outsourcing vendors and manage RFP process
• Manage relationships with outsourced vendors
• Ensure delivery of a consistent brand and style requirement with external vendors
• Effectively manage all outsourced project documentation
• Develop methods to effectively communicate across the internal and external pipeline
• Design and implement tests for checking quality of outsourcing contracts plus review and rate returned tests
• Work with Head of Studio to establish budgets and costs for outsourced art
• Manage the storage / movement of delivered assets within the studio pipeline.
• Review submissions to constantly drive quality standards
• First point of contact for communication and coordination with outsourced art vendors
• Work closely with the outsource studio management team to identify art work roadmap and milestones with established review and feedback timelines.

• Passion for mobile / casual games
• Strong process and project management experience
• An eye for game art and the ability to evaluate assets submitted by external vendors
• Understand the art-creation process within an agile game development environment
• Familiar with the game development cycle and the impact of outsourced art
• Experience in game art creation tools
• Traditional Art Skills - The ability to illustrate/storyboard a solution.
