Role Overview:
This studio is a new mobile gaming startup founded by industry veterans, located in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles, California. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to be on the ground level of a new company, help establish its culture and create the next wave of fun and dynamic mobile games.

The Director of Product Management will be responsible for overseeing planning, implementation and continued execution in the areas of user acquisition, engagement, retention, monetization and virality across a suite of mobile gaming products. The Director will work alongside game teams to design best practices and strategies built around the Free-To-Play business model. Additionally, the position will manage the Product Management team resources focused on AAA streamlined mobile experiences as well as evaluate and implement both proprietary and 3rd party technology and middleware.

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement product and business strategies for the successful development and deployment of Free-To-Play mobile titles.
- Identify, test, balance, and optimize the best Free-To-Play monetization models and engagement features for all titles.
- Achieve improved results in key performance metrics such as DAU, ARPPU, 1/7/30-day retention and LTV.
- Research and leverage their expertise to track competitive product trends, consumer/market trends and best practices, as well as third party tools and technologies.
- Establish a deep understanding of our players and customers.
- Monitor game performance and leverage quantitative and qualitative analytics to A/B test, tune gameplay, and create/adjust features in an effort to improve user retention and monetization through launch and live operations.
- Work with Marketing to define user acquisition goals and research, evaluate, and implement new UA channels.
- Establish a method for rapid reporting and feedback on game features and content based on analytics.

Requirements:
- 5+ years in the mobile, online and social spaces with a proven track record of launching Free-To-Play products in the mobile space and their related monetization strategies throughout production and live support.
- Experience building and managing a team of product experts.
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics or related field.
- Exceptional analytical skills tailored to metrics-driven decision making.
- Experience visualizing analytics reports in a clear, concise fashion.
- Deep understanding of game mechanics and gameplay.
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel/BI tools.
- Experience with MySQL to write queries and analyze databases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A passion for making the best games.

Great to have:
- MS/MA/MBA degree.
- Familiarity with Scrum and agile development techniques.
- Experience with game design and development.
