Role Overview:
Part of the Studio Leadership team, the BI Manager is responsible for setting up the analytic structure (and team), defining day to day decision processes and providing insight into consumer behaviour using data collected from users and games. This assists the business in making evidence based decisions. The BI Manager will grow the global BI knowledge and awareness of studio developers by training and evangelising BI best practices and processes.
He/she will use excellent SQL ability, combining analytic skills with business acumen to provide the development teams with relevant and valuable data and insights that will help drive game’s success.

• To help build BI and data system with the Analytic team in Europe.
• Define short to long term vision regarding structure and processes in regards to analytics and monetization.
• Recruit and build the Business Intelligence structure to support the future of SEM.
• To direct processes to guarantee high quality data is used for analysis.
• Work with Live and game team stakeholders to ensure utility of information to be delivered.
• To ensure development teams are provided with clear input to ensure relevant, well-structured metrics are collected.
• Provide reporting and performance monitoring to Live Producers and Studio Head, using data drown from diverse sources.
• Ensure documentation of data sets are created and maintained
• Ensure data analysis is robust and of high quality. Perform detailed data exploration and validation to separate genuine phenomena from spurious anomalies.
• Remain alert to any opportunity to further utilise our data to benefit the business.
• Support analytics skills development within the team and across the organisation, share best practice.
• Evangelise the use of customer data to better understand our customers across the organisation.
• Ensure ad-hoc analysis requests are fulfilled.

• Experienced at managing team.
• Extensive experience working on the analysis of Live games.
• Experience of Data analysis, writing reports and presenting findings (use of Tableau).
• Understanding of the roles within a game team (e.g. Design, Customer acquisition, community).
• Understanding of data collection and processing techniques (ETL process, data warehousing), an asset
• Excellent SQL skills: extensive experience querying large, complex data sets.
• Strong statistical skills
• Wide knowledge of data analysis techniques
• Highly literate with analytical software
• Experience with Hadoop based systems, DB Mongo etc, an asset
• Awareness of PC games development techniques (software and hardware), an asset
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
• Driven to develop skills in others

• Comfortable working with people at all organisational levels
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong business acumen
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and to meet changing deadlines and priorities on multiple simultaneous projects
