LEAD PROMO ARTIST – London – AAA Project - 6-12 month contract - Competitive Salary
Role Overview:
This top London based studio is seeking a highly creative and experienced Lead Promo Artist to join the team. The role will primarily involve the creation of original, very high quality promotional images from 3D models and ‘in-game’ assets using the latest visualisation tools and technology and the ability to partner with the Marketing Lead to oversee and critique team output, give direction on new asset briefs and ensure all campaign assets, both video ad static, are delivered to the highest quality. Your artwork will form a central component of the global promotional campaign for a very high profile, triple-A game franchise. An understanding of branding and a proven track record of creative leadership is essential, as is an interest in all forms of creative communication. A love of video games is also a plus!
The candidate must have the following experience:
Advanced knowledge of 3DSMax, UDK, V-Ray and Photoshop.
Well-developed ability in character posing and presentation.
A good ‘eye’ for image composition and thorough knowledge of camera techniques and terminology
Proven ability to creatively lead a team with a view to conceiving and creating highly engaging and effective pieces of KEY and PROMO ART that express and embody the core messages of a promotional games campaign.
Exceptional creative and communication skills.
A well-developed understanding of the relationship between promotional asset creation and marketing and PR strategies.
Highly advanced knowledge of relevant 2D and 3D art packages.
Ability to adapt to various art styles.
3-4 years relevant experience in a development environment or creative agency role, ideally with experience of Brand or product development/management.
The candidate will ideally have the following qualities:
An innovative thinker, with excellent attention to detail, time management skills and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
Strong presentation skills.
Able to work as part of a team and be a positive and pro-active contributing member.
A keen interest in film, games and all forms of interactive entertainment.
