For the development of several original games for the Nintendo DS and Wii for a new publisher, we are looking for an Artistic Director with a minimum of 3 years of experience. You will be responsible for the quality and conformity of the graphic production for our games on Nintendo DS and Wii. Main tasks: • Supervise and support the art team (modeler, texturer, animator) in the production process so that the finished product suits our clients demands. • Maintain communication with the external client (producer, distributor, license holder, publisher) and participate at the product presentation of the client. • Communicate to the team the graphic style and specific objectives necessary. • Be able to adapt to different styles • Work with the sound designer to insure that the coherence of every facet of the game is in sync within the game. • Assure the quality, uniformity and content of the games graphic production through all of the production process. • Assist the project manager for assigning job tasks to the team and determine a schedule and deadline for a project. • Manage different contracts. • Participate in elaboration and evolution of new graphic techniques. Qualifications: • Very good knowledge of animation techniques, modeling, texturing, effects, and sound • Drawing / Concepting skills • Excellent knowledge of anatomic principles and design • Basic knowledge of art history • Perfect bilingual (French and English), writing and speaking Characteristics: • Able to positively influence other • Able to mobilize and motivate employees • Able to clearly present ideas • Artist with management ability • Strong sense of responsibility • Respect deadlines, ability to work under pressure • Focuses on achieving superior results • Strong team player • Spirit of analysis and synthesis • Adaptability and flexibility • "Customer oriented" attitude (internal and external) Hiring criteria: • Primary: Analysis of portfolio • Education in graphic design, computer graphics or multimedia • At least 3 years of relevant experience • Ready to move to Saguenay • Willing to learn French
