VFX / GRAPHICS PROGRAMMER – AAA STUDIO LONDON - £32-42,000
An experienced programmer is required to develop and maintain computer graphics and visual effects for all existing and future games. Reporting to the group Technical Director and game team leads, the successful candidate will be expected to work closely with both the game teams and core technology department to develop the required graphical features for each title.
Job Description:-
The main focus of this role is to develop and maintain general computer graphics and visual effects for all games developed by the studio whilst driving forward our technology.
Reporting to the group Technical Director and game team leads the role will require a close working relationship with both the game teams and the core technology department. This person will be responsible for helping to identify risks and requirements, developing new graphical features for the games and to help drive forward the general features of studio's core technology engine.
At least 2 years industry experience in the field is preferred.
Evidence of developing graphical and visual effects is required
Understanding of current graphical techniques and approaches is required.
Experience of current generation console development required.
Experience of visual effects development is required,
Evidence of working as part of a game team is required.
Knowledge of PS3 hardware architecture, imparticularly the RSX, beneficial.
Experience of animation systems is beneficial
