The role of Graphic Designer is to provide graphic-based assistance and support to all teams, with particular focus on promotional and marketing materials.
Specific requirements for this role:
This involves the design and production of graphics for a wide range of requirements, such as websites, logos, flyers and advertising. The role also involves the creation and overseeing of print jobs and liaising with external companies where required.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate professional design skills, as well as a good working knowledge of print and web principles.
Below is a non-exhaustive list of the Company's expectations of the Graphic Designer.
GRAPHIC DESIGN TASKS (INC. PRINT DESIGN):
• Design, creation, assembly and co-ordination of:
• Logos, flyers and brochures for print
• Advertising for both print and web
• Designs for PowerPoint templates and graphics
GAME UI & MENU DESIGNS:
• Conceptualise and prototype interface functionality, look, and feel.
• Create game front end menu systems
• Create game head-up displays
• Design and implement console specific front ends and menu systems
• Create ‘graphic design' centric game art assets
WEB TASKS:
• Initial web design concepts created to a high standard, to the provided brief with both design and functionality considered.
• Redesign and problem-solving to requirements of each Website as required
• Ability to build websites using HTML and/or Flash
• Provide final artwork to Web Coder for implementation
ESSENTIAL QUALITIES:
• Highly creative and enthusiastic attitude
• Advanced knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator or similar.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Flash, Dreamweaver/raw HTML.
• Comfortable working to deadlines, and to multi-task
• Good technical understanding of Print a benefit
• Willingness and ability to learn essential
• Ability to mentor junior staff
• Professional attitude and work ethic
• Thorough approach to problem solving and able to function independently when required
• Needs to be comfortable working to deadlines
• Attention to detail is essential and all tasks must be carried out to the highest standard
