SENIOR WRITER Our client is based in beautiful Alberta, Canada, where the Rocky Mountains stand the west, speckled with hundreds of icy blue glaciers. Sliding off these serrated peaks are gin-clear lakes loaded with bull trout, ancient forests and the tumble of soft ranch lands rolling and stretching into sun-bleached wheat fields….
They are seeking to immediately hire writers to help development on new ground-breaking role playing games. They have hired one writer and are accepting applications for immediate vacancies.
Primary Task: Writing dialogue. Must be able to write interesting dialogue in a timely fashion.
Secondary Tasks: Coming up with story and puzzle ideas.
Minimum education:
Canadian applicants: no minimum education requirement; preferred: post-secondary diploma, certification or degree.
International applicants: for immigration purposes, minimum education requirement: post-secondary degree or diploma.
Familiarity with the fantasy genre and role-playing games is a must. Examples of work must be provided (see below).
Required Submission:
An example of writing must be provided for you to be considered for the position.
Here are the guidelines for the module:
·Make the module short. It should be a short interesting story that can be played within 15 to 30 minutes.
·Start the story off with a bang! If it doesn’t catch our interest with the first character, your submission will likely be discarded.
·There should be at least 3000 words of dialogue within the module.
·We will be judging your ability to write dialogue that is interesting and has personality. The characters you are writing have to be engaging in a manner that immediately draws in the reader.
·The dialogue must be fun and easy to read, not overly verbose.
·We will also be judging the structure of your dialogue. Does the dialogue flow logically? Does the player feel in control of the conversation?
Please contact change on 0044207 241 4545 for examples of the style of game dialogue that we are looking for
COMMON WRITING SUBMISSION MISTAKES:
1.Overly verbose dialogue. Dialogue should be succinct and easy to read.
2.Dialogue where the player has very little interaction. The player should feel that he is talking to an NPC, not being talked at.
3.Modern sounding dialogue. Do not use modern anachronisms or slang. Fantasy characters shouldn't sound like they come from the 21st century.
4.Boring first character. The first character the player talks to sets the tone for the entire module
Note: Resume submissions not including an example dialogue will not be considered.

Account manager/ senior account manager 112 PERMANENT - ACCOUNT MANAGER &/OR SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER
Four partners all of whom had come from large agency backgrounds founded this company in October 2002. The principles of integrated thinking, commercial understanding, creative excellence and a dedication to delivery and value for money underpin our philosophy as an agency. This has helped us to grow from a team of four, five years ago, to a team of 60 today. We are passionate about what we do and how we do it.
Today we have a select range of blue chip clients including Nestle Purina, BlackBerry, Disney, KFC, Gillette, Duracell, Oral-B, Slendertone, Shock Absorber, Aston Martin & Hasbro. We are a full service, cross discipline marketing agency. Interactive media is the fastest growing area of our business. We have built a reputation for demystifying the role of the channel as a commercial tool, bringing to it our experience as marketers first, and technologists second; decoders rather than coders. Our interest has always been in what the media can add to our clients’ sales and marketing ambitions, never in what the technology can do for its own sake. Ultimately we treat interactive media as we do all other channels, one more option available. We enjoy the freedom new media offers, but we also understand the limits each technology imposes.
Whilst we work hard we also ensure that the team enjoy themselves whilst they are working and also afterwards. There is an annual company ski trip and a summer & Christmas party too. We have a 6-monthly bonus scheme which is open to all staff.
